Professor Kristina Sepčić is a leading researcher at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. Her pioneering work focuses on the characterization and biological activity of pore-forming toxins from marine organisms and fungi, and her research has significantly advanced our understanding of how these proteins could be used in biomedicine and in biotechnology.
Professor Sepčić has received numerous awards for her contributions to the field, including the National Lapanje Award for exceptional research achievements in biochemistry.
