After studying Nanosciences at the University of Basel, Adrian obtained a PhD in Structural and Molecular Biology from UCL, where he studied the pore forming mechanism and lipid interactions of lymphocyte perforin.

He joined the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre as a postdoc to investigate how cancers can evade the immune system by resisting perforin pore formation
